Windows Software by Mesa Verde
Shuffle Trak 2000 has been on the
market since 1991. It has proven itself to be a valuable tool to aid the advanced
blackjack player. The basics are simple -- you define your favorite casino shuffle and it
can deal you a real game using that shuffle. It also will graphically display where every
card goes after the shuffle. It's all visual, no numbers (unless you want them).
In 1999, Mesa Verde released a brand new Windows version with several enhancements.
Here is some information on the new release:
- The shuffle Definition has greatly improved.
- You adjust the plugs with slider controls.
- You can click execute to repeat steps.
- You can click and go back steps.
The mapping screen is basically the same point and click operation and you can change
shuffles on screen anytime. The playback section features:
- Online plug adjustment
- Online roughness adjustments
- Segment sizing down to 4 cards and up to 52
- Recorded card placement charts that can be loaded into a spreadsheet
Shuffle Trak 2000 has a completely new Practice
module with outstanding card graphics. On the practice screen you will find:
Tracker
Tracker
will highlight your tracked cards in the discard tray and also project them into the next
shoe. After clicking Tracker, the tracker window opens allowing you to check what
cards you want to track and which color you want for each card. For example, you may want
to track aces and show them in red while tracking 10's and show them in green. If
you selected a card (or cards) to track, when you click Continue, the discard tray will
move in from the left and the next shoe tray will move in from the right. If you return to
tracker and uncheck the cards, the shoes will retract. They are only in view if you are
tracking cards. Tracker will allow you to flag any card to be tracked. Each time one
of your tracked cards are picked up, it will be highlighted in the discard tray using the
color you have designated for that card. In addition, that card will be mapped to its
location in the next shoe on the right side of the screen. You may start or stop
Tacker at any idle point during play. To stop tracker, uncheck all cards on the tracker
window.
Plugs In/Out
You may wish to preset the cut-off plugs in the discard tray so that when cards are
placed in the tray they will logically go around these reserved spaces. This will allow
you to see where the discards are actually going to show up in the next shoe, taking into
account that these plugs will be placed in these positions later.
Point Values
Click on this button to display the point assignment window. There is a data entry
window for each card. You may assign any point value you wish to the cards. The running
Count displayed in the window to the right uses these numbers to calculate the display.
Count Button
Clicking this button will bring in a segment running count overlay on the right side.
This overlay will display the running count of each deck of the next shoe. Each time cards
are picked up and discarded, they are projected into the next shoe, these numbers update
automatically to reflect the count of the deck the cards are going to.
Dealer Speed
The dealer speed may be adjusted. The speed may be adjusted during any idle point in
play by clicking either Fast or Slow or by moving the slide control.
Deck Graph
Click Graph to view the horizontal count graph at any point during the practice. The
graph follows the point count of the current shoe. Horizontal hash marks are in quarter
and full deck marks. The solid line extending upward will show shuffle point and the line
extending downward will show your current position in the shoe. This graph is
especially helpful at the wager point. Display the graph to find if you are in an area of
high cards. An upward slope indicates a group of positive value cards while a downward
slope indicates a group of negative value cards. The sharper the slope, the more
concentrated is the group. If you are at the top or on any downward slope, then you are in
an area of negative value cards. View the graph at any idle point in play to view
your current position in relation to the upcoming card values.
Shuffle Trak 2000 is available from
the Blackjack Review Network catalog.
